SIR Plan GmbH

The SIR Plan GmbH is an IT- and consulting company. It was founded in 2007 by the computer scientists Dr. Ulrich John and Harald Windisch. The mission of SIR Plan is to provide their customers and business partners with best possible consulting and support in questions of organization and reorganization of complex processes. Also in this regard, we design and realize - if requested - powerful software systems for planning and decision support as well as for information and knowledge management. The know-how of the SIR Plan company is complemented by the long experiences of the company founders in R&D-projects which where gathered in the last 10 years inside the company DaimlerChrysler (Section IT-Research for Engineering and Processes) and before that (Dr. John) in the German National Research Center for Information Technology (GMD) (now FhG; Section Planning Techniques and Software Engineering).

The main topics of SIR Plan can be found in the context of complex processes in logistics, manufacturing, development, and management. Besides the pure process-related consulting, our company focuses on the design, the development, and the implementation of process- and decision support systems. In doing so, the objective is to develop and to establish (IT-based) agile processes which provide maximal control and efficiency. From the software development' point of view, this objective can be accomplished normally by state-of-the-art using of innovative software technologies (for instance Constraint Programming, Business-Rules Systems, Agent Systems, etc.). Often, the software introducing has to be in line with appropriate changings of the underlying processes.
